Supporting Women with Chronic Vulvar Pain and Pain During Sex (Vulvodynia)
two-day seminar with clinical insights, diagnostics, and practice-based strategies in Chinese medicine

Why is it important?

Vulvodynia is chronic vulvar pain without an identified cause. It affects an estimated 1 in 7 women. Many patients are dismissed, misdiagnosed or are treated for years without improvement. The result is ongoing pain, stress, relationship strain, and often a feeling of not being taken seriously.

What can Chinese Medicine offer?

Orit Zilberman has been supporting women who suffered from vulvodynia with Chinese medicine for 18+ years. In her experience, Chinese medicine offers a safe way to support reducing pain and restore function. In this seminar she teaches you her step-by-step approach, using real cases from her vast clinical experience, with distal acupuncture, herbal formulas and lifestyle changes.

"I treat vulvodynia and never use intimate points".
Orit Zilberman

For whom?

This clinic is for certified Chinese medicine practitioners who want to expand their knowledge and confidence on how to support women who suffer from vulvodynia and chronic vulvar/vaginal pain. Focus is on acupuncture and herbs, but prior herbal training is not required to participate, as Orit emphasizes theory and demonstrates how to use a few patent formulas for vulvodynia.

What will you learn?

After these two days you can:
  • Recognize vulvodynia from a Western perspective (anatomy, diagnosis, standard care)
  • Understand the emotional and social impact and communicate safely with patients
  • Diagnose vulvodynia through a Chinese medicine lens (etiology, patterns, priorities)
  • Acupuncture strategies and point combinations from Orit’s clinical experience.
  • Apply herbal formulas and modifications used in practice
  • Integrate key frameworks from Orit’s methodology (Yin Fire, Shang Han Lun, Master Tung)
  • Work with clinical cases: what to do, why, and how to follow up
  • Advise on diet and lifestyle that support recovery
  • Use topical/natural treatments that are often overlooked but clinically valuable
