The Psychosomatic Profiles of the 12 Meridians
Transforming Emotions through the Shen and DE

This seminar series provides a profound exploration of The Psychosomatic Profiles of the 12 Meridians, where we focus on transforming emotional patterns through the lens of the 5 Shen (spirits) and 5 DE (virtues) in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This approach goes beyond standard needling techniques, emphasizing the practitioner’s role as a guide to empower patients in reaching deeper Shen levels on their own.

Why Attend?

Drawing from the TCM classic Ling Shu and Sun Si Miao’s philosophy, practitioners are seen as Fang Shi (teachers of methods), facilitating emotional and spiritual growth in patients. Instead of solely needling Shen points, this seminar series teaches practitioners how to help patients convert the 7 pathogenic emotions into the 5 heavenly feelings through specific exercises and mindset shifts.

Key Seminar Highlights

  • Foundations in Ling Shu: Based on Ling Shu Chapter 8, this seminar will explore the relationship between the Shen and DE, guiding practitioners on methods to help patients turn pathogenic emotions into positive states aligned with the virtues.
  • Psychosomatic Profiles of the 12 Meridians: Referencing Chapter 64 of Ling Shu, we’ll delve into the psychosomatic profiles of each meridian, illustrating how these insights can be applied clinically to facilitate emotional transformation.
  • Transformative Exercises: Practical exercises will be introduced, helping practitioners guide patients to develop the 5 DE, aligning Shen and Qi for a harmonious emotional state.

Seminar Schedule

This seminar series is divided into two weekends, each focusing on different meridians:
  • Weekend 1: Saturday–Sunday, 10–11 May 2025
Covering psychosomatic profiles for the Pericardium, Heart and Small Intestine, Liver and Gallbladder, Lung and Large Intestine.
  • Weekend 2: Saturday–Sunday, 4–5 October 2025
Covering psychosomatic profiles for the Spleen and Stomach, Kidneys, San Jiao and Bladder.
Each session combines theory with experiential exercises, equipping practitioners with actionable insights to use in clinical practice. Join us to deepen your understanding of the psychosomatic nature of the 12 meridians and enhance your ability to support patients on their path to emotional and spiritual harmony.
